You should revisit it, I found it off putting at first as it’s really not like Hitch’s other films, at least narratively. I say that stuff all the time, so don’t worry about it :p

I saw Notorious a while back (years) and I remember not having very fond feelings towards it. I may have to rewatch it sometimes. I’m probably just saying this, but the intention is there!

His voice is all kinds of dreamy and listening to him read the story with such authority and conviction in a semi-menacing way is really interesting.

Surprised you don’t own The Red Shoes Criterion! Add it to your christmas list immediately.

I need to see The Red Shoes fancied up, I’ve never seen a restoration for it. My VHS copy is worn, and is honestly older than I am. I mean it, it’s from the mid 1980s. Before my time. I unfortunately don’t think my video store has it, but I’m happy to be proved wrong. And Jeremy Irons! *drools*

Lots of great films on your list rouge. I’ve just started checking out some of the extras on “The Red Shoes” and it’s pretty good. Jeremy Irons does a reading of the play!
